IBF welterweight champion Devon Alexander’s trainer believes Devon (25-1, 14 KO’s) will defeat Amir Khan (28-3, 19 KO’s) who is a former IBF/WBC light welterweight champion if they fight each other in December.
Cunningham also says there is no confirmation about the fight between Khan and Alexander but he things it’s going to happen. His fans have not forgotten his loss against Danny Garcia in 4th round on last July and he need the match with Devon to make his fans forgot about that loss.
Khan needs the IBF belt to make a fight with Floyd Mayweather Jr. seems genuine to all boxing fans who might feel kind of factitious about buying a Pay per View fight involving a boxer with 2 losses in his last 4 fights like Khan has.
Without a win over Devon, the fight between Amir Khan and May weather would be a PPV Poison in the same way as Mayweather vs. Robert “The Ghost” Guerrero. Khan doesn’t have sufficient fans that Guerrero has in the U.S.
