Maidana shocks Ortiz with a Stunning Sixth Round TKOY Award in the Best Fighter Category

The New junior welterweight contender Victor Ortiz (24-2-1 with 19 KOs)has been with party. Acquired as star of the future, with a large crowd at the Staples Center for which he was the main event, everything was aligned for Ortiz to take an interim title belt and begin his championship campaign at 140 pounds with flair. The problem Saturday night was that someone forgot to tell Marcos Maidana (26-1 with 25 KOs). These two warriors gave as good as they got until one man, Ortiz have had enough. It was a shocking turn of events as the momentum swung back and forth all night until finally it could swing no more for the young fighter out of Oxnard, CA. While promotions didnt get what they had hoped for, boxing got itself another rising star with power in both Boxing hands with Boxing gloves and a will of iron. What a fight.

It was fitting that Ortiz entered the ring to the tune of Thriller as that was exactly what the crowd got.
